How To Make The Perfect Breakfast In Bed

Picnic BasketThe classic way to start Mom’s day

We love pampering our moms on Mother’s Day and what better way to start it all off than with a relaxing breakfast in bed? Even the little ones can be involved in the preparations, as long as an adult is helping out. We’ve got great tips to help you make a Mother’s Day breakfast that will make Mom’s mouth water:

Plan ahead

Just like any fancy meal, breakfast in bed takes a bit of advanced planning. The day before Mother’s Day, plan out your menu selections. We’ve got some samples below that you can use for inspiration. Shop for any ingredients you need and make sure you’ve got a bed tray to make Mom’s dining more comfortable. On Mother’s Day, plan to get up before Mom’s usual rising time and start cooking - after all, breakfast in bed isn’t much of a treat if she’s waiting hungrily for hours before it’s ready!

After care

Making a fancy breakfast in bed for Mom is a lot of work, but don’t forget that you’re not done until the kitchen is back to its original state. Make sure you clean all the dishes or run the dishwasher and wipe down the counters and stove. Mom will be much more relaxed if she knows she doesn’t have a bomb site to clean up after she finishes breakfast.
